    I just checked out the latest "Ball Blue Book, The Guide to Home Canning and Freezing" from our local library. It is their 32nd edition. This is an excellent resource book with tons of great recipes and step by step preservation instructions. I am going to buy my own copy. If you are looking for instructions and recipes for making pickles, relishes, soups, and about anything else you will find it here.

    Glad to hear that! I am a newbie canner & I just ordered the book. It costs $4.95 + $1.00 shipping directly through Alltrista Corp.

    I also spoke to the county extension office & they recommended the Ball Blue Book also since it is revised annually. Another book they recommended was "Putting Food By."
