Haven't been there yet ('cause it's not open). But he claims to have authentic cajun food on the menu. You may want to make your reservations now, dates are filling up fast on account of Favre. From:Eric Wersel....eric@ra.moneng.mei.com Date: Thurs, 24 Jul 1997

* Bunkers Main street Pub & Eatery
Mostly sandwiches and beer. Definitely a favorite!They have a couple of Jerked and 'Cajun' sandwiches. Wednesday night is wing night - free wings (Jerked, Hot Buffalo, and Pink Flamingo (not hot)) with several bottles of hot sauce (Melindas, Melindas XXX, JCS.) If you go on another night make sure to ask for the JCS Crushed Scotch Bonnet Pepper sauce (the yellow stuff,) it's excellent, especially on the cajun burger.. Thai. If you'd rather eat at a nicer (more decorative) place, and don't really care about price. From:Eric Wersel....eric@ra.moneng.mei.com Date: Th, 24 Jul 1997
There's a Thai place downtown -- the King and I that does okay food. Sometimes it's hot, sometimes not.

* The Spice House
He does need to get to the Spice House. All sorts of fresh spices in big jars - the smell alone is worth it. Although when I asked for the powdered habanero, the clerk asked me if I knew what it was, warned me about not breathing it, and then proceeded to don nuclear waste gear and mask, and went into "the back room" just to pour it into my jar! My only mistake was only asking for 4 oz (should have gotten a pound!). They do have lots of other dried chiles - whole and powdered. No sauces, though.
