    Norine Juenger's Barbecue Sauce

  • 16 ounces tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 2 tablespoons green onion tops -- chopped
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • Simmer 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve hot.
    Makes 2 1/2 cups.
***** While there was no indication, I would expect that this is best with Pork, since the idea of 'BBQ' in that area was nearly always pork.
