    Santa Fe Chili Corn Bread

  • 1 cup (275 ml) yellow corn meal
  • 1 cup (275 ml) all purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon (15 gr) baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons (10 gr) sugar
  • 1 teaspoon (5 gr) McCormick® Ground Cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 gr) McCormick®Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 gr) McCormick® Chili Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 gr) salt
  • 1/4 cup (68.75 ml) canned chopped green chilies
  • 1 cup (275 ml) milk
  • 1/4 cup (68.75 ml) butter, melted
  • 1 egg
  • Additional McCormick® Chili Powder
  • 1. Preheat oven to 425º F. Lightly grease an 8x8-inch pan.
    2. Combine first 8 ingredients; add chilies. Stir in milk, butter and egg.
    3. Pour into pan; sprinkle with Chili Powder. Bake for 20 min.
    Serves 9.
