    Allison's San Antonio Chili

  • 1 T. bacon grease -- (1 to 2)
  • 1 1/2 lbs. sirloin steak, diced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 (15 oz.) can diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
  • 2 T. chili powder
  • Mexican hot chili powder, to taste
  • 1 t. beef bouillon
  • 2 t. ground cumin
  • 2 t. instant coffee
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 (16 oz. each) cans spicy chili beans
  • 1/4 c. cola
  • 1. Add Fat to a hot large heavy pot over med-high heat.
    2. Add steak and onion and cook.
    3. When meat is browned and onion is tender, add: chile powder and garlic. Cook a few minutes then add the rest of the ingredients. 4. Simmer for one hour.
