    Cincinnati Chili #2

  • 1 Qt. beef broth
  • 2 Lb ground beef
  • 1/4 cup onion flakes
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 tsp instant minced onions
  • 1/4 tsp ground allspice
  • 1/16 tsp ground red pepper
  • 1 15 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 1/2 oz unsweetened chocolate
  • 4 TB. chili powder
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 1 Bay leaf 2 tbs white vinegar
  • 1/2 oz unsweetened chocolate
  • Boil beef broth, add beef slowly, till meat separates into small pieces. Cover and simmer 30 min. Add remaining ingredients, bring to a boil, and cover and simmer 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Refrigerate overnight, skim off fat, reheat and serve. Serves six.
