Ja-Hab Miso Salad Dressing

    Ja-Hab Miso Salad Dressing

  • 3/4 cup dark miso paste (comes in a block)
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 cup hot water (more if needed to thin out the dressing)
  • 3/4 cup rice vinegar (for a different taste use lime or lemon juice FRESH squeezed)
  • 2 teaspoons light soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger root, finely grated
  • 1 tsp honey - adjust to taste
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp sesame tahini
  • 2 tbsp dulse chopped
  • 1 tbsp Jim Campbell's Screaming Red Savina Mash
  • 2 ripe Habs finely chopped (more if you want more heat)
  • Combine sugar and hot water. Add the following stirring as you go;
    miso, rice wine vinegar, soy, onion, honey, ginger, tahini, mustard, duluse, savina mash and the diced habenero Should look like chocolate pudding before cooking - adjust to taste and heat.

    Place in a blender for about 3-4 mins - check for taste Should be slightly sweet and sour - with your amount of heat
