My beloved and I discovered a Roasted Raspberry Chipotle Preserve being sold at a winery near here. I looked for it at a high-end grocery retailer and also found it. It is something I would never have noticed because I don't like anything sweet. This stuff, however, is really wonderful. I have trouble imagining it on shrimp but, to each his own. My girlfriend paid about $9 for 8 ounces and I got it for about $3.

Take a jar of raspberry preserve and dose it up with puréed chipotles peppers in adobo sauce to taste. Throw in some finely minced jalapeños, also to taste, (± 1 Tbsp.) and you have it. I think it should be kept to the low to medium heat range to be able to take advantage of the rather delicate and subtle raspberry taste.
