    Jalapeņo Sesame Soup

  • 1 lg onion, chopped
  • 3 T butter
  • 1 1/2 cups tahini
  • 1 1/2 qt heavy cream
  • 1 cup veg or chicken stock
  • 1 cup jalapeņos, minced
  • 1 T salt
  • 1 T black pepper
  • 2 t cayenne
  • 1/2 t nutmeg
  • 1 t ground ginger

    • Saute onions until soft. Add remaining ingredients and cook over medium flame. Garnish with cilantro. Serves 8.
