Brown beef and onions slightly in a heavy deep kettle. Add taco seasoning,
ranch dressing, ground pepper, garlic powder and chili powder, tomatoes,
beans, hominy and green chilies. Mix well. Simmer, covered, for 30 minutes.
Taste and add salt if needed, however, remember the corn chips are salty.
To serve, place handfuls of corn chips in the bottom of individual bowls.
(If chips are large, break them up a little.) Ladle soup over the chips, and
top with grated cheese and some olives. ( wee like to add a dollop of sour
cream.)
